Marin Mushroom Hike
The hikes are intended to give participants a general introduction to the world of mushroom identification and ecology, and are not culinary collecting forays. It's helpful to bring liquids, lunch, hiking shoes and a love of the outdoors. Be ready to hike up to six miles and one thousand feet elevation gain over irregular terrain. We usually start at 10am and go to 2 or 3. Last week's hike had a lot of interest, and it filled up by the previous Saturday. The mushroom diversity was high and gave participants a nice introduction.
Enjoy your week.
To reserve, email me, Terry Sullivan, your name, the name of anyone joining you, and a contact phone for last minute changes. I will email directions two days in advance. We cancel for serious storms. Feel free to email me: biologyhikes (at) aol (dot) com http://biologyhikes.home.comcast.net/~biologyhikes/mushroom.htm |
